PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

The H801MCUD1 board is a Mini Control Unit Board. It is the core of the system control and service switching and aggregation. The H801MCUD1 board can also function as the management and control core of the integrated network management system (NMS). It communicates with service boards about the key management and control information through the master/slave serial port and inband GE/10GE channel. In this manner, the H801MCUD1 board configures, manages, and controls the device, and also implements the simple route protocol functions.

Overview:

The H801MCUD1 board supports the following functions: 


• System control and management unit l Local and remote maintenance 


• Active/standby switchover 


• Load sharing 


• Synchronous Ethernet 


• GE or 10GE channel to the service board 


• Environmental monitoring parameters 


• Seven inputs of alarm digital parameters and one output of alarm digital parameters 


• Temperature reading and high-temperature alarm 


• Fan tray monitoring and management 


• Two SFP+ 10GE ports and two SFP GE ports for upstream transmission or cascading 


• One input of BITS clock signals and one input of BITS clock signals 


• One input of 1PPS+TOD time signals and one output of 1PPS+TOD time signals


• Stratum-3 clock

•  Working principle of the H801MCUD1 board:

The basic working principles of the H801MCUD1 board are as follows: 

•  The control module manages the entire board and the service boards. 

•  The logical module achieves the logical control and stratum-3 clock functions. 

•  The power module supplies power to other functional modules of the board. 

•  The clock module provides clock signals for other functional modules of the board. 

•  The switching module provides the GE port and the 10GE port to switch and aggregate services at Layer 2 or Layer 3.

CONSOLE/ESC (RJ45 port: RS-232 serial port/RS-485 monitoring serial port)

 

•  Functions as a console port, which supports local and remote maintenance and allows users to configure the system through the command line interface (CLI) using software such as Hyper Terminal. The default baud rate of this port is 9600 bit/s.

• Functions as an ESC port, which reports the detected values of environmental monitoring parameters to the device.

The CONSOLE/ESC port is connected to the maintenance terminal and environment monitoring device using the local maintenance and environment  monitoring combo cable.

 

ETH (RJ45 port)

 

100M Base-T debug Ethernet port (FE port, 100M full-duplex adaptive).

Supports local and remote maintenance and allows users to configure the system through the Ethernet port.

The ETH port is connected to the Ethernet port of a maintenance terminal using a network cable.

 

BITS/TOD (RJ-45 port)

 

Transmits and receives clock/time pulse signals.

The BITS/TOD port is connected to the clock device using the clock transfer cable.

ALARM (RJ45 port)

 

Provides an environment monitoring channel for digital parameters.

The ALARM port is connected to a digital parameter sensor using an environment monitoring cable.

Two GE/10GE upstream optical ports (SFP+ port)

 

Used for upstream transmission and cascading.

 

After being installed with optical modules, these two GE/10GE upstream optical ports are connected to the GE/10GE ports of upper layer/cascading devices.

Two GE upstream optical ports (SFP port)

 

Used for upstream transmission and cascading.

 

After being installed with optical modules, these two GE upstream optical ports are connected to the GE ports of upper-layer/cascading devices.
