MA5603 shelf is 5 U high. It provides seven slots for various boards. Through the configured boards, the MA5603 shelf provides ADSL2+, SHDSL, and VDSL2 services.
The service signals are transmitted upstream through the SCU board or interface board in the MA5603 shelf. The SCU board communicates and exchanges data with the service boards thorough backplane.
